IdentityNow is a leading SaaS platform for identity security developed by SailPoint. SailPoint has been recognized by Forrester and Gartner Magic Quadrant reports for six consecutive years, demonstrating their industry expertise and excellence.
WHAT
SailPoint is introducing My SailPoint, a novel dashboard experience crafted through extensive research, design, and development, with the primary intent to provide our customers with valuable insights right from the start.
Historically, the dashboard (as seen below) was created without user research, leading to customer challenges in navigating and leveraging the data within. Often dubbed a "black box," IdentityNow concealed valuable insights that were difficult to uncover and use effectively.
We conducted extensive user research using iterative techniques to uncover the most valuable data widgets needed. This gave us a strong point of view and a great place to start conversations with our Data Intelligence and API teams.

WHEN
The release of "My SailPoint" is expected to coincide with SailPoint's annual conference, Navigate, in October 2023.
WHERE
Access to this landing page is restricted to IdentityNow Administrators only. We refer to it as the first thing you see in the morning while enjoying a cup of coffee.
It is a dynamic space that can adapt to your changing needs. As their identity security continues to evolve, the dashboard's usefulness grows. It provides insights into application onboarding status and overall identity counts in the early stages. After one year, the focus shifts to understanding uncorrelated accounts and anomalies detected within the system or user behavior.
WHY
Gone are the days of filling tables with insights. Modern digital product users expect interfaces to have embedded intelligence. As a leader in the industry, SailPoint often hears the request, "Help me understand what I need to know and what actions I should take." While the necessary data for these dynamic widgets exists, the challenge lies in aligning the right data with the right timing for the relevant user and, most importantly, the appropriate actionable steps.
HOW
This initial dashboard iteration is inherently highly scalable, designed to accommodate an extensive range of customization. Users will be able to craft limitless dashboards attuned to their distinct needs. The widgets were created to allow any SailPoint product team to develop widgets without dependencies on the platform team. This approach opens up the possibility for customers and partners to create their own widgets, ultimately paving the way for a widget-rich marketplace.
